This time after a clean install, it worked for about 10 days, this time my patience has ran out.........
OK so here goes for a solution for once.
Step 1 :
Download the following program which allows you to customize the Blue "Access IBM" button.
http://www.gyrolan.com/thinkpad.zip.
I found the link in the forum, thanks Dorin. http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.ph ... access+ibm
Step 2 : Unzip the file into a directory, for example c:\scripts\wireless.
Step 3 : Download the following VBS Script.
http://www.gyrolan.com/wireless.zip.
Step 4: Unzip the script into the same directory as above.
Step 5: Run TpadCust.exe. ( Which you unzipped in step 2 ).
Step 6 : Set the following parameters
Choose "Specified Application"
Application = "C:\WINDOWS\system32\wscript.exe" ( Change to system directory as necessary).
Display Name = Wireless Toggle.
Parameters = c:\scripts\wireless\wireless.vbs
Thats all folks..............
The script is simple enough to change if required. It basically looks for your "Network Connections"
directory, then searches for the object "Wireless Network Connection". Then uses the context menu of the object to Enable or Disable the Wifi connection.
You may have to change the the variable "strConnectionName" to whatever your Wirless Connection is called.
Cheers Roy.
PS : I did not write the TpadCust.exe program, and I merely changed the script to a more formal notation.
