I though T42s had no fan noises???? Talk to me

Hey I just read one of those recent fan problem posts.Problem is that the poster said that he finally noticed the fan noise in his T42 that "people have been talking about here for quite some time". Isn't he talking about the T41s. I thought the T42s all ran quiet like normal laptops should, because they all have the long fan??? Are the T42s the same way. Whats up guys?

I wrote about my t42 making the noise. All T42s with the ATI Mobility RADEON 7500 have the short fan like some of the t40/41s.

It seems that the quietest fan is the long fan 10M (13R2657); you can check which systems have this fan here:
