Strange noises on T40

Hi guys,

I have recently bought and IBM T40. I am noticing a strange noise that happens whenever i move my cursor across items for instance is seleting programs of files. It is also evident when surfing the Internet whenever I hover over or select links.

It is a very low almost "clicking" like sound?

Hope anyone knows what this is.

Also the Fan tends to come on for very long periods even when the computer is not really doing anything. Does anyone know the reason for this as well as possible remedies?

Go to Sound Properties and turn off the click that accompanies Start Navigation. I get rid of that annoying click routinely when setting up computers. ... JDHurst
