T43 screen issues

#1 Post by Stingray » Tue Apr 04, 2006 11:28 am

I bought a new T43 in January. I absolutely love the machine BUT about 2 months ago 1 large (Size = ¼ inch) and 2 small black spots developed on its screen. This happened overnight! I have NEVER even touched the screen. What do you guys think this problem might be and how can I cure it? Will IBM give me a tough time if it has to be replaced? I just have a basic warranty.
Thanks for all the help!

if it's 1/4 inch, that should be more than enough pixels to qualify for a replacement under warranty.

Should be a simple warranty repair, no problem. 1/4" must be 100s of pixels.

As far as I know, the minimum number of affected pixels on a 14.1" SXGA+ LCD made by IBM/Lenovo to get it fixed under warranty is 11 in a cluster. So I think they will replace your screen under warranty. :)

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.

I understood that it was 11 or more than one in a cluster.
