Problems with my secondhand T40

When I turn the machine on, I see a pic of the win 98 boor up screen, than I hear beeeeeeeeeeeep beep, beeeeeeeeeeeep beep,beeeeeeeeeeeep beeep.
Sorry for the weird way of asking, but does anybody know where i can find what the means. By the way, it just ends up in some DOS screen or something.
