Quiter Fan on T60 Than T43

#1 Post by CoolDragon » Sun Apr 09, 2006 12:59 pm

According to this interview with T60 designer (if you know Chinese), http://www.thinkpad.cn/forum/viewthread ... hlight=T60

The T60 uses a quiter fan than that in T43, so obviously, the designer knows the T43 loud fan issue. I just don't understand why IBM offers this "quiter" fan as a replacement option for T43?

It's a good read. Very glad to see that Yamato Lab still puts reliability as one of the top design criteria. Based on the limited feebacks from T60 users on this board, it seems their work on improving the ventilation system was a success.

Personally I can't care less about colors on trackpoint buttons - as long as the tactile feedback is good and quiet.

Could anyone translate it (for those of us monoligual types)? Sounds interesting.
