I presume that 'Notebook Hardware Control'--the updated version of 'Centrino Hardware Control'--is also included? I voted for CHC but actually use NCH + TPFC. And love 'em both :!:

RM + TPFC. CHC conflicts with TPFC and has a lot of extras I don't need...

RM+Fan Control. Agree with Simms....RM uses less resources and does the job for me.

Some people report running NHC and TP fan control without a problem, as long as they disable the temp readings in NHC. However, for some reason, it doesn't work for everyone. I cannot run NHC or CHC and TPFC at the same time, no matter what I do. Quite annoying. RMMClock works fine with TPFC though.

If I remember right, you have to set the TPFC as a service for it to work with NHC correctly. I have TPFC as a service and I don't have any conflicts anymore.

please clarify on how did you set the TPFC as a service and avoid conflict with the CHC :?:

NHC/CHC
It's the only I've tried and has worked flawlessly. Haven't heard of the other one, but whatever works is fine by me!

I notice the Thinkvantage Power Manager isn't listed. I use that to throttle speeds , albeit it provides only limited choices.

"Lowest" performance mode bumps cpu down to 300MHz only. Which is lower than the 800MHz rating Intel gives PMs for regular speed step range.

I like CHC, or as it is known now as, NHC (notebook hardware control). It gets the job done for me. :)
