The 15" screen it's only XGA (1024x768) on this particular model. Do you feel confortable with that?

XGA? Yuck, unless you plan on rarely using it as a mobile & have it docks most of the time to an external monitor.

I too think the XGA is a big turnoff.

I know sxga would be better, thanks.

Is XGA on 43 such a yuck that you would discourage it for the given price alltogether? mind that sxga t43 would not come below 2000$/Euro in Europe...

1000$ for bridging xga to sxga - really a necessity?

14.1 Inch LCD with XGA is ok.My T43 is this type of LCD.But 15 Inch with XGA is really not good.Just forget about it.

XGA is fine for a very wide range of business purposes. It all depends on what the user wants to do with it.

Cheers,

Bill

What is the difference between SXGA and XGA? I too am looking at buying a T43 in the coming months for college.

SXGA 1280 x 1024 resolution.
XGA 1024 x 768
SVGA 800 x 600
VGA 640 x 480

I have XGA and like it, guess i'm a weirdo or something.

Nothing wrong with that, I know a few people that have little to no need for anything above 1024x768. :)

If you have never experienced a 1280x1024 resolution, then you don't need it. But once you do, you'll get hooked to it like me.

You forgot to mention SXGA+ Mike, 1400 x 1050, which is one of the resolutions that the T43 is offered with, not SXGA.

I love my 14.1" SXGA+ T41p!
