Screen Expansion problems

I set screen expansion on in the BIOS, but then occasionally it will revert back to non-expansion mode. This is only viewable when it's out of windows, eg: Playing a game full csreen or when windows XP loads.

How do I fix this problem?

Have you tried advanced display properties -> Display settings? It made a difference here when an external monitor is connected.

The settings work, but they don't save. They revert back to the smaller non-expansion mode after a restart, standby, etc.

Try setting Expansion on in the Configuration Utility.

Easy to overlook, in fact it took someone here to remind me where this setting can be accessed while running Windows.

Mine keeps doing this too, except the setting 'sticks' in windows as well. Doesn't matter where I set it the HV expansion to be on, the windows ati drivers, the configuration utility, or even the system's bios.
