i have a t43, and i thought i had 64 mb video ram, now when i look at it, it says 256mb, does that even sound right? does that even exist?

It exists in.. a way
it has something ati coined as 'hyper memory'. It can use its onboard memory as well as the system memory, much like a integrated video card, except, taking the best of both worlds. It was something enabled by the switch to a PCI-E bus. Of course, the performance will start to suffer if it goes over that first 64 megabytes
