True Image the only way to go

#1 Post by unimorpheus » Tue Apr 25, 2006 10:13 am

Hello all,

Just purchased a T43 2668-4DU which is my second ThinkPad. The first was a 390D that I still have. Great forum. Without this forum I would have never been able to replace my drive.

Just installed a Hitachi HTS721010G9AT00, 100GB drive. No 2010 error and original IBM recovery partition. Never use Norton Ghost 10.0. After two weeks working with Ghost the imaged drive would not boot. The first try with True Image was completely successful. True Image is even cheaper.

I was curious for your post and today i download the trial version of the True image program and i clone my hard drive and i am amazed how easy was to use this program and my opinion is that it is excelent HIGHLY recommended A+.

( Now i think the cloned samsung MP0804H 5,400 80Gb 8 Mb cache works way faster that my toshiba MK5024GAY 7,200 50Gb 16 Mb cache drive that i had previosly installed)

Incredible!!

If you read through the forums or search you'll find that Acronis is the way to go. There is an issue with either the t40 or t41, but it has worked flawlessly on all three of my machines.

Thumbs Up for Acronis TrueImage. I like how it allows you to mount images as virtual drives.
