Does anyone know what this BIOS option do when enabled and disabled?
Config -> Network -> Internal Network Option ROM (Enable or Disable)
My understanding is that it is to enable or disable the OptionROM of the internal Ethernet but does it also apply to the wireless network as well?
Will disable this option negatively affect networking under WindowsXP?
Is there any security risk by enable or disable this option (i.e., is disbale the Internal Network Option ROM kill or have adverse effects on the network operation and firewall settings)?
I could not find any info about this on the IBM website. In fact, IBM website doesn't even have a user manual when it comes to BIOS settings which is actually the most cryptic and highly specialized part of the laptop. Thanks.
