Colours bad on T41 - yours too? (Link inside)

#1 Post by holberg19 » Thu Apr 27, 2006 11:51 am

Hi Guys

I need your help.

I just got a reminder (by looking at someone elses cheap laptop), that there might be some sort of problem with my T41s way of displaying colours. If it has to display colours that are fading in or out it does it in an anyway but smooth mode. Instead of showing a blue colour fading softly into a black colour, it divides the fading into different areas. Its very obvious, but hard to explain.

In the picture on this link:

its really obvious on the background. If you cant see a problem on your T41 and the colours are very soft fading into each other, im the one with the problem. On the other hand, if your colourfading isnt as soft as it should be, then I guess the LCD panel is just plain crap and gets being outperformed by cheap laptops which wasent really what I expected.

My colour depth is set to 32bit.

Best regards,

Nvm guys. I got it fixed.

The bad transitions were due to a setting under "Control Panel" - "System" - "Advanced" - Settings under "Performance" - "adjust to the best look" and my problems are all gone. YES!

Another Q:

Which ICC profile do you guys use?
