So my power socket stopped working, and I took it upon myself to see what was happening (maybe it was just a loose connection). Along the way I managed to pull the daughter card socket right off the system board, pins and all!
I can't find any documentation to tell me exactly what the cable does - somehow bluetooth still works...so before I go and invest in a new system board, I was hoping someone here might have some insight as to what this socket (that I've circled) is responsible for:

Note that this image is missing a second output cable from that socket, which runs to the middle of the chassis.
The machine is in for repair of the power socket, but they won't cover the daughter-card repair under warranty (not too shocking).
So, questions:
1 - what the heck does this thing do if it doesn't run bluetooth? Can I live w/ it as a broken connection?
2 - is this the sort of thing that can just be re-soldered (the current repair shop doesn't solder, but I thought maybe someone else would)
Thanks in advance for any suggestions / help!
