Well, of course it's safe to delete, but if there are no other shortcuts like this, then you lose it. You could always just move it to an IBM folder on your Start Menu.
Why not register, then delete it? This way you get kept up to date any recalls or updates for your system. Stop being a wuss, just register and get it over with.
