T43: USB doesn't work?

I recently bought a second-user T43. I reinstalled Windows (XP) and now USB devices don't seem to work. I plug them in and nothing happens.

I'm pretty sure USB was working before I reinstalled Windows.

Does anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong?
