Guys i am using a T43-2668 and i have a problem with it.

The machine works perfectly if you give it factory defaults restore and it continues to do that untill you use the system update for europe or the update connector for US.

You let it to restore completely and after the recovery is totally over you give a run to Norton and microsoft update to do some update. and ok. everything works fine. But after this, you go and download the "System Update" software which is not included in the factory recovery and start the thinkvantage system update and it finds 3 updates to do

After it makes the updates you give it a restart and you feel something crashing at the new startup. It takes 5 minutes to load the startbar and the green battery maximiser icon at the start bar gets crazy. I mean there are two maximiser icons sitting on to each other

the error is something about the battery software updated causes the crash and it makes a heavy load on the start bar and the startup time...

Can anyone help please

Typical? Without knowing WHAT the various updates were ... hard to answer. You could always boot in safe mode and remove the utilities that you last updated to.

Software Installer seems to leave old versions around under C:\DRIVERS\ ... look around, you'll find the older utilities, I'd bet.
