So I'm interested in purchasing a T42, but I can't find one that's decently priced. With the education discount, I can get 2379ezu for $1407, before options. However, the cheapest barebones 14" SXGA+ 1.8ghz BuildYourOwn T42 that I could find was around $1550 (2373BYU)! the 2379ezu was found on the ExpressBYO page, but there aren't any 14" T42 models listed there (2379ezu isn't listed anymore, either).
Can anyone give me a product number for an Express BYO 14" SXGA+ T42 with the 1.8ghz processor? It should be considerably less than $1407 (base price, not including OS, RAM, WiFi, but INCLUDING 3 year warranty).
The 15" sounds like a good deal, but I'm going to carry the computer with me 5 days of the week. Also, the battery should be able to last through at least 3.5 hours of class.
How do I get a 14" t42 through Edu discount?
