What is the T41p?

#1 Post by micah » Sun May 07, 2006 7:42 pm

I've been looking through the tawbooks trying to find the T41p and have only been able to locate it through this page: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... date=false

Looking at the specs, it seems like a top of the line T42, especially the ones with the 128MB FireGL T2. Why does it have a lower model number, and whats with the mysterious 'p'?

Anyone know what makes this an odd ball? I've seen models on ebay that they list as both: "T41p T43, such as these two:

Is this really just a t42 in disguise? It seems like people love their T42s, would those people love a t41p?

As far as I've been able to tell, by comparing the specs, is that the T41p is a 1.7ghz Banias revision of the Pentium M processor, whereas the T42 can come with a Dothan 1.6, 1.7 or 1.8 gHz...
