For the sake of Vista

#1 Post by bilalmuddassir » Wed May 24, 2006 1:25 pm

No that it matters the most, I was thinking how I can upgrade my ATI Radeo 9600 graphics card in my T42 to something that has 128MB of RAM so that I can see how impressive the Vista Aero user interface looks.

Any thoughts or comments?

Not possible. The video chip is soldered to the motherboard.

9600 should run Vista just fine.

If upgrade isn't possible then I'm gonna have to give it a try. Thanks.

Then I might as well go for Bluetooth as well. How much would it all cost? How do I know what part numbers do I need?

You can install bluetooth w/o upgrading the system board.

It is included in certain 56k modem cards.

Do you really believed that the bluetooth was build in in the motherboard? :?

No I meant that if I open the box for the motherboard replacement I might as well put in the Bluetooth. I think that goes in as a modem+bluetooth daughter small board. I am not sure though.
