Ultrabay slim indicator not lighting up after MB upgrade

#1 Post by LBU » Fri May 26, 2006 1:53 am

I recently installed a 128MB Radeon 9600 (FireGL) system board into a T40 and all seems well except one minor annoyance. The Ultrabay Slim green indicator doesn't turn on. The drive works inside the bay but the green indicator light just won't light up. I checked and rechecked all the connections but can't seem to figure what's causing this. Any advice here?

I was looking at the HMM and noticed something called an interposer card for 15" LCD system boards. What exactly is this? Do 14.1" boards include/need this?

I don't know what you meant by your last post, but you don't need the interposer card for a 14.1" system board. The reason it is needed for the 15" models is because they are larger, obviously, than the 14.1" and the motherboard has to be extended to fit the form factor.

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.
