using t42 recovery disks on a t40

using t42 recovery disks on a t40

My t40 is old and doesnt have the option to create recovery disks, but i also have a t42 with me and was wondering if i could create disks on this t42 and use them on the t40...

anyone try this backwards way of recovery?

Yes.

Run the Software Installer after completing the OS install and everything the T40 requires will be downloaded and installed.
