T40 Bluetooth dose not work on Window XP

#1 Post by slam55 » Fri May 26, 2006 3:37 pm

Hi,

I have a T40 which comes with the bluetooth. I couldn't get it to pair with my Platrontronics Voyager 510 Headset. In the Device Manager, I didn't spot any Bluetooth devices. Go to the Control Panel, the 'Bluetooth Configuration' is the only bluetooth entry I can see. Click on it, I get back the message saying that 'Bluetooth device not found. Please verify that your Bluetooth device is properly connected.' I am pretty sure that the headset is working because I have no problem to pair it with my cell phone.

I then downloaded the Bluetooth driver 'bthwxp1o.exe' v1.4.3.4 from IBM http://www-3.ibm.com/pc/support/site.ws ... 50245.html and installed it. However, it still does not work.

Could anyone please give me some help? I am runnning Windows XP SP-2.

Best Regards
slam55

There is a thread on this forum specifically about using an audio device via bluetooth. Search is your friend -- that thread will give you a lot of avenues to try.

It sounds silly but, have you tried Fn+F5 to turn on bluetooth radio?

I was able to pair my bluetooth headset with my T40 now. However, the audio still coming out of the laptop's speaker, how do I transfer the audio input/output to the bluetooth headset? :)

You're doing to have to fiddle. (And I don't mean pick up a violin.)
