Multiple Battery Charger P/N 22P9040 v P/N 02K6719

#1 Post by mikek » Sat Jun 03, 2006 12:44 pm

Anyone any experience of these chargers? Quite fancy one as I'm forever having to swap batteries to keep my fleet charged up... but have only seen 02K6719 on ebay - and looking at the Lenovo site it might be that this won't drive my T42. Anyone able to advise?

Hi Mike, I have sold a few of the 02K6719 chargers to users of T4X Series machines who have used them successfully with 6 cell, 9 cell and ultrabay batteries. I believe the main advantage of the 22P9040 model is it charges 2 batteries simultaneously rather than one at a time as the 02K6719 model does.

If you're interested in one of the 02K6719 models let me know (email is best), I have positive feedback here.

I use the 02K6719 model myself regularly for my T2X series and T30's batteries and they're great - nice to always have that extra battery fully charged to switch to.

I have the "02K6719" and I charge T2X batteries as well as T4X batteries with it ( I have two 9-cell, one 6 cell and an ultrabay for the T42p) after a multiple battery run, it is a PITA to try to charge all the batteries; this makes it a lot easier.

Well, thanks for that advice. I'll give it a go. Just bought one for GBP4.50 - can't go wrong for that price.

Wasn't sure what PITA was...... but worked it out now!

Given that you chaps have used this kit successfully, there's probably no point in me providing any feedback.

Thanks for your help.

What does "it is a PITA to try to charge all the batteries" mean?

Also, mikek, which flavor of battery charger did you buy, and where did you get it from? I'm facing a similar question as per:

PITA= Pain in the [censored]

The links seem to go to the same charger as I have - I think there is only the one IBM one for T2x T4x batteries.

Only cost me 4.5 GBP - and works fine. Although the design criticisms of the review are valid... it's never bothered me.
