Intel Pro 2100 wireless adapter utility gone!

#1 Post by Goobie » Fri Aug 06, 2004 1:05 pm

OK, in my stupidity I managed to "lose" that little icon that sits in the taskar with the green bars looking like a bunch of steps. I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the wireless drivers, also downloaded the newest version from IBM, but I seem unable to get it back.

The wireless connection works just fine without it, but I would really like to have it back. anybody any ideas on this.

much appreciated

Find IBM Acces Connections in the list of programs when you click on START, ALL PROGRAMS, then ACCESS IBM - then simply click on 'Options' and then 'Global Settings' then decide which options (show the icon in the task bar - for instance) you want...

Thanks Ian. I downloaded a newer version of access connections from IBM and that solved my problem. What a handy utility this access connection.

thank you

I lost it for a while as well. The mouseover always said "Intel Pro/Wireless 2200BG" so I thought it was an indepedent Intel app, but at least on our laptops it's part and parcel with IBM Access Connections.
