which to keep: T41 or T43 15 inch?

I now have two laptops that I need to decide which one to keep.

One is 2373 T41. it has 3 year warranty that will end until March 2009. It serves me pretty well, but I really do not like the battery part and the banias cpu.

P-M 1.6, 1G memory, 40G and 32M ATI 7500.

The 1875 T43 is an express model. Sonoma 1.73 CPU. will have 1G memory. 60G HD. From my personal feeling, T43 is faster and smoother than T41. But it has 15in XGA and heavier. Plus, warranty will expire within half a year. Warranty extention will cost me around $130.

Most often the time, I use this machine for daily internet use, plus internet programming like PHP and MySQL and some basic scientific calculation, like MatLab and SAS.

Anybody know if T43 is a significant improvement performance wise? Thanks.

By the way, these two machines costs me the samething, if the extended warranty is not factored in.
