IBM Recordnow! suddenly won't work anymore

#1 Post by kangazoom » Sat Aug 07, 2004 4:10 pm

I have a T42 dxu with an added 512 mb of memory...

I inserted a blank CD and opened IBM Recordnow! -- and a blank error box popped up with a red exclamation mark. It had worked fine before then.

I was able to burn my CD using Windows Media Player, but would anyone have an idea as to why IBM Recordnow! won't work?

Sounds like the software got corrupted. You could try restoring your system to a date before this happened, or just remove record now and re-install it.

My RecordNow software also goes haywire occasionally. Sometimes I get errors saying a disk failed to complete :( A re-boot usually fixes the problem but I am a bit wary of RecordNow now.
