T42 slow when running on battery

I notice my T42 is slow when its running on battery
Especially when I click "Arrow" of the "Notification Area" (on the bottom right of screen) to view or hide those icons, it would slide really slow ..
When I use power outlet, its super fast

is it cuz the speedstep is on effect? If yes, how do I disable it?

In the control panel, goto power options. Or if you have the Battery Maximizer bar open, click on it and goto "View Scheme Settings"
