NEED HELP! connected but no data transfer
my t42 is connected to my wireless router. good signal and everything. but somehow i'm not getting any data transfer when i try to browse websites. i'm not using access connection right now, just using the windows config. (which should still work). I tried changing the channels for my router and nothing happens. it worked yesterday before i was playing with access connection...but now i changed it back and wireless is not working
can anyone help???

can anyone help???

Some Idees :
1 : Verify your DHCP settings.
2 : Verify the connection to the Web using a RJ45 connection ( switch of the Wifi beforehand )..
3 : Try removing the WEP/WAP.
4 : Remove Access Connections competely, retry if successful install Access Connections.
5 : Using the Web Interface of your routeur, can you verify if the routeur itself has established a connection to the Web.
6 : When using "Nslookup" where does the trace stop.

I had a similar problem with a friends Thinkpad, and we deduced it was a conflict with Windows and IBM trying to access the wireless at the same time. Solved this by not letting Windows do anything (Wireless connection properties -> Wireless Networks -> un-check 'Use Windows to configure my network connection and generally bugger up my system') and let IBM Access Connections do the work - works great now.

i know this has been posted on a number of times in this forum...but can anyone pls post a detail procedure in setting up IBM access connection without having Windows interfering?
now something disastrous came up....i tried disabling access connection, reboot my comp, and now it takes like 3 min to boot up. and like stalls if it shutdown. what is happening?? need help desperately, thanks!
