Battery storage

#1 Post by stgreek » Mon Aug 09, 2004 6:05 am

I just got two brand-new batteries for my T40 - one 6-cell and one 9-cell. As I will only use one at a time, probably the 9-cell (usually docked...) I was wondering if anyone could tell me what would be the optimal storage strategy for the other - should I store it with max charge, empty, X%, recondition every X days etc. I searched for it but couldn't find any helpful info.

Thanks
Stavros

40% charge, in a large sealed zip-lock bag, in the refrigerator...

Seconded. I learned about li-ion care after I bought 2 batteries - had I known beforehand I would have just used one battery until it died, and bought the second one later.
