Can't Right-Click on T43

#1 Post by DesolataX » Sun Jul 02, 2006 6:57 pm

Hello all,
I just opened up my T43, and once I reassembled it, I couldn't right click (The trackpoint right click button)! Upon inspecting the Keyboard, no connections appear to be broken, and the plug is fully in. Did I break something inside of the keyboard? I haven't I dropped the keyboard or laptop... Yet I can still right-click with the touchpad button...
Anyone have any suggestions? or should I buy a replacement :(

Reseat the plug.

Report back.

No luck. Tried it twice. I am going to try my keyboard from my T40 (although i believe they changed the screw locations, so i cant use it permanently) just to test it out.
Edit: Right-Click works with the T40 keyboard, but they did change the screw positions on the T43 Keyboard (won't sit properly)

Call Lenovo for a new keyboard if still under warranty, but you won't see it before Wednesday at the earliest.

I can live with just pressing the touchpad right click until Thursday (estimated arrival date)
Glad I have warranty through 2009 :D
Edit: Woops, i guess i should order it through warranty, not through the parts store. My bad...
