I noticed that when I connect the IBM USB Enhanced keyboard, its 2 usb ports cannot power even a small usb stick.
Is there any solution to this, or are the 2 ports simply unpowered?
Regards.

Will generally only work with a self powered usb device. ie. one with it's own power supply. The only unpowered devices the would work would be a usb mouse or the like.
