IBM Update Connector
I just ran IBM Update Connector for the first time and downloaded the "Thinkpad IBM Access Connections + Wireless LAN Driver Pack V. 3.21 (1VCNA1WW)." When I try to install it it goes to 9x% and then gives me an error message to contact IBM. Has anyone else encountered this problem and is there a way to fix it? Is V. 3.21 better than V. 3.1?
P.S. I currently have the Gigabit ethernet and the Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG card.

No, I didn't unistall Access Connections before trying the install (if this is the solution I wish they would have mentioned it). I will try uninstalling Access Connections tonight and then installing the new download.Leon wrote:sounds like the download is corrupt.... go to the ibm site and re-download it manually....BTW, did you uninsatll Access Connections before doing the install?... I'm pretty sure that the installation requires this....
Is this the correct link for manually downloading it (http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.ws ... us&lang=en)?
Thanks for the help!

if you have the IBM load still on your machine it should be in the "Access IBM" program files directory... if not...jamesmccain wrote:where can I get this software, I just redid my system and can't find the ibm update connector software

I unistalled Access Connections and then was able to install the update manually (after downloading it from the website). I still was unable to install it using IBM Update Connector. However, despite all these issues, I am not happy with the updated version of Access Connections. It seems to take longer to startup and run slower on my new T42. Does anybody else have these issues and is there any way to revert/download the older (v. 3.20) version?
