Client Security Doesn't work after MB Swap

After a system board failure and swap by IBM technical support I can't seem to get CSS up and running again. My mother board doesn't seem to have a serial it says MFG_IN... I don't know if that's related.

I tried enabling/disabling/clearing the chip and the CSS Wizard stills says

A critical error has occured while configuring your computer. The Client Security Setup Wizard cannot proceed. Please restart your computer and re-run the wizard.

Except restarting doesn't help... grr I really rely on password manager :p

Any help would be much appreciated.

Same thing happened with to me when they replace the mobo from my T40, that didn't bothers me too much so i leave it.
But you can always contact IBM and send back the machine they are supposed to fix it right.

called. they installed the serial number. still doesn't work!!

any advice or another service call?
