HELP!!! Rescue and Recovery

#1 Post by Binglehopper » Thu Aug 12, 2004 10:21 am

Hey Everyone,

My new T42 finally arrived!!! I'm currently doing the Rescue and Recovery since I upgraded to the 60 gb 7200 rpm disk.

I ran the "factory restore" in the resuce and recovery, it went through all the 7 or 8 disks, then asked me to restart the computer. I did that, changed the boot setting back to the defaults.

The problem I'm having now is everytime the computer boots up, it goes straight into the Rescue and Recovery thing, and NOT into windows.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance

It's supposed to go to Rescue and Recovery again after the reboot. At the point of the reboot, the program has only created a hidden partition containing all the files on the CDs (like when it came from the factory). It has to expand those files onto your C: to get the operating system up and running.

Just let it boot into rescue and recovery. It will be automated.
