Anyone else having problems using Software Installer?

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to know if anyone was having trouble downloading updates using either Software Installer or System Update 2.0 recently.

Software Installer has been been giving me errors about not being able to download packages. The funny thing is, you SEE the software being downloaded...finish and then start OVER again. After the second attempt to download it drops the connection and says "failed to download this package."

After an uninstall and reinstall and another uninstall of the above, I tried installing system update 2.0. When I try to get updates using SU2 I get an error message saying that "an error occurred while gathering user information."

My internet seems fine...I suppose I can take my laptop into work tomorrow and try it there and see if IBM is rejecting my connection at home for some reason. This has just been driving me up the wall though...talk about frustrating.

SI works fine for me as of last night.

I used SU for a little while but found it way too slow compared with SI, so I uninstalled it.
