Use t43 Ultrabay 2nd HDD adapter in R52?

IBM parts lists nothing for an Ultrabay 2nd HDD adapter for the R52, but the T43 adapter is available. I called IBM and they couldn't come up with anything either. Aside from being slimmer I think it should work in the R52. Any ideas? TIA. I didn't ask this in the R area as there isn't much traffic and some of you T guys/girls might do just this with an R.
