Wireless antenna question; 802.11b -> 802.11a/b/g

I have a 3 year old T40 (2373-72U) that came with the Intel 2100 802.11b card installed. I would like to add an IBM a/b/g card and wanted to know if the internal antennas are the same for the 802.11b, b/g, and a/b/g cards? Or is the 802.11a wireless antenna (5GHz) different from what would be supplied originally in a b or b/g (2.4GHz) machine? I would think they are different (?)

The antennas are exactly the same.

You can upgrade to b/a the only thing you will need are the drivers.

Great, thanks. I take it I can use any IBM mini PCI a/b/g card (wireless adapter/wireless adapter II)?

I did the upgrade from 2200BG to Mini PCI Adapter II, just had to tweak a bit, but eventually worked...

still have the problem of 100% always displaying on the toolbar display, but works fine otherwise.
