Volume Control not working

Are the 3 buttons near the access ibm supposed to work with the soundmax audio driver installed or do i need a different driver to make those buttons work?

I believe those are hardware volume up, down, and mute controls. AFAIK, they work without any specific drivers. They do work with the On-Screen display. If you do not have any sound in Windows, then yes, you need to install the SoundMax driver if it hasn't been installed already.
