I have a T40 with XP prof. and the Intel 2100 3B mini PCI wireless adapter. After installing a new HDD (clean new OS install) and motherboard (installed though an IBM tech under warranty to fix the connection to my docking station), I now have ThinkVantage Access connections and additional network services (Deterministic Network Enhancer) and protocols (AEGIS Protocol (IEEE 802.1x) v.3.4.3.0 and v2.3.1.10). The net result is that my wireless connections connect and between 1-30s after connecting disconnect. Yes, I did disable the on/off control in ThinVantage Access Connections. Looking at the wireless monito, you can see that the signal indicator is at 100%, the system connects and assigns an IP address from the host (or not) and then the signal strenght goes to 0% and the connection drops.
Switching the wireless to windows control does not make a difference.
HELP!!!

Does anybody know what controls this disconnection? I also seemto have a whoel bunch of new and duplicate processes running in my system such as multiple svchost.exe processes. I tried everything I could think of to uninstall the wireless drivers and adapter hoping for a clean re-install, but no luck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks - Rainer
