Two little screws and magnet in CDRW. where from?

So I pop in a cd into my cdrw on my T43 and for some reason the cd keeps popping back up. I try at it for three minutes. I then look at the spinner thing and see two idential screws on right next to the spin thingy magnetically attached to them. I take them off. Where are the screws supposed to be and how did they come off?
