Every burned CD I make is unreadable

#1 Post by koolzero » Mon Aug 07, 2006 9:09 am

I have been having some issues burning ISO files and regular misc files (Record Now for ISO and windows for the regular stuff) . When I put the disk back after it's burned it doesn't recognize that anything was burned.
Windows displays this information:

My computer shows that the disk isn't blank...

I was wanting to try updating the firmware but apparently the update is an ISO file that I would need to burn...

Does this look like a bad drive to you or just a firmware issue?

This is a t43p

Optical drive is busted. Call IBM for a new one.

Yeah it is most likely dead. Only thing you can really try is a firmware update.

Can you test your drive in another T4x? Maybe a friend or a co-worker?

That would be good.
