Hurricane Charley and my T42p

#1 Post by T23_Owner » Sun Aug 15, 2004 12:40 am

Well Charely passed right over my house yesterday and took half the roof with it, along with a huge tree in my back yard that now lies on the fence. My wife, kids and I evacuated to her parents house on the coast. We had all lost power but I was still rockin and rolling with my T42p, extra ultra bay slim battery and cellular connection through my sanyo VM4500. My bright screen kept the room lit up so we didn't need too many candles and I was able to give updates of the Hurricane as it ripped through my neighborhood. Got a good 7hrs of battery life out of this machine.

What a great tool to have with you. I was also able to keep all of my important documents and information with me on my laptop.

Nothing like a thinkpad during a disaster.

Ditto for other laptops.

During the blackout in NYC last year, I left my laptop on to light the house.
