Help T41p - Can't tell if my WiFi card support WPA2/SuperG?

#1 Post by T41mbi » Sat Aug 12, 2006 10:37 am

Greetings! :D :D

I have purchased a Netgear WGT624 v3 wirelss router and well it aint that great to be honest

I have one problem - I can't seem to get my laptop to connect to the network when WPA2 is enabled - and am concerned that maybe the Atheros 11a/b/g Wireless Lan Mini PCI Adapter inside of my Thinkpad T41p (2373-GEM) may not support WPA2 but I have been searching and have not been able to confirm - does anyone know?

If not, is there anyway I can patch/update the card to support WPA2?

I also have one other question - the Netgear WRT624v3 W/router supports "Aetheros Super G" & "Aetheros XR" does my adapter support these two features? Again, if not, are there any hacks/updates available to make compatible?

If anyone can help me out that would be much appreciated! :D :D

Also I have checked my driver for the WiFi card is the latest available on the Thinkpad Support Site

Driver version 4.1.102.147
Driver date 4-18-2006
