Key C has dropped off from keyboard

The type of my notebook is T43

During some regular use, the C key has dropped off from keyboard, and the metal base under C key was broken.

In this situation, is my keyboard in warranted?
And I'am wondering whether I can get a new keyboard from IBM?

Yes you can if your computer is under warranty, just tell them that the C key is not working and three days later you will receive a new keyboard.
