Hello everyone :!:

Now I use A31 with specification in my signature which I bought for 400eur ,now I have a chance to buy T43-2669-CTO with that specification:

Procesor: 2GHz
Ram: 512MB
HDD: Seagate 80GB 7200rpm
Screen: 14,1" (dont'know is it XGA or SXGA)
GPU: ATI
CDRW/DVD
WiFi and Bluetooth
9 cell battery
2 years left warranty

I don't know the screen type.
Price: 800 eur (about 1040$)..Is it worth that price :?:

I would say the going price is 1300 to 1400. You could look at the z series for that price. Look at the ibm.com refurb site. they usually have really good deals. that is wher ei purchased my t41 originally

Go on ebay. You can get that machine for around $800 US (so like 650EUR I think). It will be used, but youre saving a few bucks. However, I personally wouldnt buy another T43, largely because of the fan problems and (if it concerns you), the pain in the [censored] it was to set it up with Linux. I would go straight to a T60, or even an R60 over the T43. Dont get me wrong, its a solid and nice machine, but I would generally steer away from buying another.
X60s 1704-69U (Core Duo 1.66LV, 1.5GB, 100GB 5400, 12.1" XGA, WWAN, 8 Cell, DVDRW in X6)
External Storage: 250GB + 500GB Porshce

T40 Project: (Planned) P-M 2GHz, 2GB, 100GB, DVDRW

I wonder a large percentage of T43 users used to lament about excessive fan noise. I run my T43 quite intensively, sometimes during whole day for technical computing and some web surfing/emailing - my machine showed to be very quete, neal silent about 95% of the time even though technical computing may be quite CPU and memory intensive at a times. Fan kicks to audiable levels perhaps 2-3 times for in 2-3 hours and then is works for just few second.
So I wonder, perhaps certain T43 series are more prone to fan issue then the others ?
14.1" T43 2668-6ZU machine.
ATI x300, 1GB RAM, 40 GB HDD, all the connectivity (except of Bluetooth), DVD/CD-WR Combo...
Still excited about this great machine...
