Screen redraw problem on T21

I'm using a T21 and every so often (seems random) the entire screen will erase itself leaving only the background. this problem is more pronounced during periods of high CPU activity because the whole screen will slowly erase, and then redraw. it is similiar to when explorer.exe crashes, and then restarts, but that is not what is happening.

I have a suspicion that it is the battery maximiser app. I also had the same problem on my T20. any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
