Unkown Device, Question About Thinkvantage Connections

#1 Post by rosemarycane » Mon Aug 28, 2006 2:45 pm

After receiving my TP back from the Depot again, I did a clean install of Windows XP Home Edition. I downloaded the latest drivers from Lenovo, and set everything up. Only one device was unknown, and Windows did a search for the driver. It was for the Windbond Trusted Platform Module 1.1. It is on Intel 82801FBM LPC Interface Controller. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else? Last time I reinstalled Windows, this did not happen. BTW, they replaced my mobo again.

Secondly, after installing access connections, I went into the settings, and unchecked the two icons in the system tray. After the computer would restart, the two icons would still be in the system tray, even though I had changed the setting in access connections. The only way they would disappear again was if I opened access connections. Is this weird?

Any input is appreciated.
