I'm surprised!
Are you replacing a defective XGA with SXGA+ or replacement out of choice. Not that it would matter to SG IBM, but just curious.

I don't think Lenovo is alone in this. Once a computer is manufactured with a certain model number, that model number stays with it for life. Lenovo doesn't want you changing the specifications of a specific model. Well, at least that is what I think.
I once bought a desktop PC from another manufacturer, and the hard drives failed within the warranty period. I wanted to go with a different brand of hard drives. And even though that manufacturer carried other brands, and I offered to pay any difference in price, they refused to send me anything but what the PC originally came with. Additionally, this PC did not have a specific model number as the ThinkPads do. It was more or less a build-to-order model.

Congratulations! For a 14.1" screen, SXGA+ is much much better than XGA. I bought a near-mint T23 for $165 shipped just last month. It was beautiful and very comfortable to use and I immediately fell in love with it, but the XGA display bothered me big time, so after just about two weeks, I decided to sell it. To replace it, I bought from mfratt a T43 with 14.1" SXGA+, and it's infinitely better than the T23's XGA.gunston wrote:14' SXGA+ with cable connector will be delivered to me on Wednesday 6th September.

since i am a X60s user now,
one finding in my X60s fonts size comparison with the current SXGA+ screen.
it is actually similar to each others.
in fact, SXGA+ screen look like it has more wasted space since the font size is tiny.
in short, if you are a former SXGA+ user, X60s or X4x 12' LCD series might just suit your taste too.
do you agree with me?
