Need a compatible usb floppy drive

#1 Post by koolzero » Thu Aug 31, 2006 3:06 pm

I bought a USB IBM floppy drive but it's not working. Can anyone tell me if there are any floppy drives that are compatible with the T43p I need one to run ghost.

Thanks.

The one you have should be working fine. Are you sure you set it up in the bios correctly?

Maybe I've got a defective one then. Windows displays the icon for it but if I put a floppy disk in and try to read it says this disk is not formatted. If I try and format it Windows says it could not complete this task.

All the disks I've tried worked in another floppy drive just fine.

I just bought a new in the box IBM diskette drive on Amazon for $18.99. Received it in two days, and used it to take care of my new system board ID. Here's a link, just look at the new and used ones . . . it's in there.
